Most high-potency cannabis strains are native to regions where it gets as hot as 40C+in summer - Thailand, Pakistan, India, Afghanistan, South Africa and so on. Cannabis can definitely grow outdoors in temperatures over 40C.

Seedlings may need to be slowly acclimatised to the outdoor conditions. Starting with an hour or two outside around mid-morning, their exposure can be extended by 20-60min per day, depending on how hot it is. By the time they're spending the whole day outside, they'll be much bigger and will be able to handle almost any amount of sun, as long as they have access to plenty of water.

Temps over 35 or 40C are often lethal for indoor plants, but this is also due to the fact that such indoor temperatures are usually caused by lack of air exchange (ie underpowered fans), meaning that plants are suffering due to lack of CO2. Hot indoor conditions also promote the spread of all sorts of pests, fungus and diseases.

Outdoors, there's no problem of air being depleted of CO2, so as long as plants don't dry out, they should grow very vigorously.

Sativas often come from hotter climates than Indicas, so strains like Jack Herer, Jack Flash, Mother's Finest, Juicy Fruit, Early Pearl, Jamaican Pearl, Durban and Mexican Sativa would be suitable. I'm fairly certain that Indica-dominant strains with genes originating in India and Afghanistan, as well as the Skunk strains, could also flourish in very hot, sunny conditions.

As an added bonus, flowering plants in very hot, sunny conditions will often produce an even thicker coating of resin glands over their buds in order to protect them from dehydration.

EDIT - having read just a little about the climate of Lahore, I see that it gets extremely hot (a record of 48C in the shade and 55C in direct sun!), but I still think cannabis should be able to grow outdoors if acclimatised and well-watered.

Out of interest, in the hottest part of summer, does most green plant life die off? Or is it still very green around water sources, even in the height of summer? If it's the latter, cannabis should also be able to do well.

I remember a grower who lived on one of the little islands off scotland, and i know the shipping costs for soil was through the roof.

Sickle is a expert soil grower, so maybe he'll say what to buy(locally).

On the Lahore front, I'm sure i read a book years back that was set partly in Lahore? Who know's :) but the world a small place.

A 400w HPS is a bit weak for 8 plants, IMO. And you get more lumens/what with a 600.

Like I said as long as you get a decent extractor fan and you are extracting into another room, or ideally straight outside, then the temps should be fine. If you have any neighbors then a carbon filter will also be needed.

I must say you've got some balls growing there, I don't know the laws but i presume they don't take to kindly to it?

Edit = I was gonna push the outdoor bit again myself, then deleted the post, lol. That's what I would be doing anyway. Wiki said 48C in 1944.

if shop brought fertilizers are not possible there are many natural alternatives animal manures(sheep, cow, horse, goat, rabbit, etc)are a great source of free nutrients although they will need to be processed(composted/made in to teas)there are many resources on the web about manures and organic cultivation.

lol mellow, im by no means an expert.

@lahori,

I'm skeptical on the bin laden front. I'd be very surprised if they got him when they said.

Yearh, there's defo some potent buds around, but when you make the hash from the leafs, it'll be even stronger :)

@sikle  Which fertilisers would u recommend to a noob like me growing in soilless mixture(planning on equal ratio of pete moss, perlite and vermiculite).  Heard Earth juice might be forgiving for new growers and is totally organic. Was thinking about ordering them online if any website ships them. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Making my own will be not possible for me :(

IMO its always best to go organic but im thinking organic nutrients might go off in the high temps possible in your location so maybe chemical ferts are the way to go but i could be wrong

Some of grass does die but most plants still remain green. I have a mango tree right in front of my house and that is doing fine too.

Then cannabis should be able to flourish if acclimatised as a young plant and given plenty of water as she grows and flowers.
