Currently I've started growing a Northern Lights Automatic seed from Sensi.
I will be using a few nutrients such as BioGrow and bat guano.
It's my 1st time doing this so I thought to share with you.

1) I've prepared a medium - size pot with 6 teaspoons of bat guano.
2) The soil is taken from a neighbour's garden.
3) I will be growing in a balcony with some other plants around.
I've put the seed into the soil 4 days ago and it has started germination (cotyledons are open and the 1st pair of true leaves is starting to shape).

Since I've planted it I also used a plastic dome on top of the pot which I probably assume helped early germinating.

The temperature the first 2 days was around 14°C daytime and around 6°C at night while the next two days where around 15 - 17° and 9 - 10° overnight.
I will upload photos in the next few days.

Hi Rattlesnake, good to see you have started your grow.

Next time... it's better to use a commercial potting mix rather than yard soil. Yard soils don't work terribly well in pots as they are usually to dense and become compacted with regular watering. Cannabis likes a good amount of air in the medium, otherwise the roots don't get enough oxygen.

I wouldn't suggest you move the seedling now, it's just something to consider for your next plant.

Something you could do now is top up the pot with soil to one cm below the cotyledons, roots will grow from the stem once it has been covered in soil and your plant will be more stable in the pot.

All the best for the season %3ceed%20leaf
What doesn't kill me just makes me stranger...

Hi rattlesnakeGR.
If you use soil from a garden it should be cooked in water to kill
Insects.its done in a bucket. In nature.. in a garden.. there are predators in your pots not.
Thats why its easier to usepotsoil too.

Germination was done very well. Darkness is very important for roots and germing seeds.
