Is it always bad to try and clone when the plant is flowering?
I have my ONE full, beautiful, super strong and healthy femail 3 weeks into flowering and can't stand that i will be harvesting her and then accpeting her death. Can't I try to clone her? It will either work or it won't right? It seems worth a try.More expereinced opinions? Srilata |

any clones you take will still be in flower two is the thing you could put her back on 18/6 for two weeks to try and put her in veg mode then take a clone or 5 off her and keep her as mother then flower your clones i have a mother now shes been on the 12/12 for 2 weeks just started with lil hairs so she should go back ok hope this helps

Or you could leave the big one flowering and take 5-10 good clones from her softest, greenest, least-developed stems.
In an 18/6 or a 24hr light cycle, the cuttings should turn back to veg growth with the same ease (or difficulty) as the larger plant. Possibly a bit more easily. This way, you should be able to harvest the big one in 5-7 weeks and have her genes preserved for next crop. |

Thanks for the advice. But I'm a little unclear.
My female now is already 3 weeks into flowering....so I expect to harvest her within the next 3-5 weeks. I bought "early pearl" from sensi seeds and although I started late (June) it has been flowering already for 3 weeks (little pink hairs and budding everywhere....yes!) So.....I expect it will be ready to harvest in 3-5 weeks (I want to harvest early as I like more of a head high and not a "knock me out" high. I will try cloning a few of the softest greenest stems use some cloning solution, let it root and then put it under 24 hr lights. Then after it gets strong and established.....I'll cut lights to 12/12 and expect it to flower again right? Thanks for your help. |
