Hi Folks,

For the convenience of forum members who would like to share their photos with the world, but would prefer not to post images under their own screen name, you can now send images to:

(capitalisation doesn't matter, can also be ssb.images@gmail)

Images received will be posted on  an 'images' thread in this section of the forums, or on their own thread, as appropriate.

For ease of posting, please try to reduce images to 250kb before sending them.

Please note: There is no particular security risk from posting your own photos under your own screen name. This email address has not been created in response to any danger, new or otherwise. It's just for those posters who take security and secrecy very seriously

Hi Crashbasket, I'd like to be able to see some of your pics but mediafire is a dog to use on a slow connection. How about uploading a few to the gallery (link at top of page - cannabis photos) or start a thread in one of the grow forums?

its a good idea ganja but sending throuhg email es even more dangerous...I think people who not want they might been traced should create their account when using a proxy server or something similar like jap or multiproxy
for any information about proxy check out http://proxy.org/
http://www.multiproxy.org/ this contains multiproxy application and proxy server adress list
so all these tools should be clean
and for having more security on your pc get a commercial anti virus do allways update your browser from time to time...Internet explorer will autmatically updatet with windows update which u should do every mont at minimum...firefox or anything else should update manually or automatically when available...and never forget to delete ur internet data as cookies, tempoarary internet files etc.
and as addon to youre security programm u should run spybot http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html which is free and has a shredder util....maybee u ask why shreddering with an util when easily deleting is possible....you should do it cause a files is just really deleted when  its about 30 -35 times shreddered that means it will be 30 -35 times deleted and recovered and deleted again until its not more sightable...so delete ur temporary internetfolders image and anything else u dont want anymore and which is confidential with that utility

with all that u will be secure and therefore u dont need sending emails anymore
and for admins why dont u use the forum in https mode???uploading and logging and such anything else woulde be more secure then and its simple just add on web server the ssl mode for https browsing...it would be even better when making orders or anything else on sensi website too

Just to try and explain this a little. When you delete a file from your PC, it doesnt actually get deleted, you just tell the computer to ignore the fact that it is there. That file will then stay on your HD until such time as the space it occupies is written over. The "shredder" you speak of most likely just writes over the file 35 times, altho i suspect 1 would be enough or perhaps 5 to be sure.

I wasnt aware that spybot was still going, but if your are concerned about nastys on your pc i would suggest a combination of Malwarebytes Anti-malware and a months trial version of AVG. I feel i have to make this clear tho, its completely illegal to type "AVG keys" into google and use any 20 year keys that you might find out of the results, so dont do it.

As far as proxys go, i have to point out that your ISP can still see everything you do, so dont take them as a concret guarentee.

no...you need it to delete at least 30 times coz when not doing specialists can recover it... and spybot is great for removing spyware and protecting the browser but its also goos as safe remover or file shredder...coz it deletes and restore a nd delete again automatically...but when downloading a file from the internet who contains illegal things there may be like a fingerprint from that file somewhere u dont find
in other words If you delete a file from your harddisk it will remain readable until the physical sectors on the disk are overwritten.

This might turn out as security hole. Anyone who has access(when not encrypted just get it out of your tower and plug in another pc) to your disc can recover the data you deleted before.

To erase a file permanently and safely you have to overwrite the content with random patterns before deleting it. To do this use a erase tool like Supershredder.

Thats what i said, i just said that 5 times would probably be enough.

Not true. There are programs out there designed for businesses to dispose of their old hard disks that will fill every sector with zeros. You can make them write zeros as many times as you like but there is no need for more than 5 passes. The chances of recovery are not "scientifically speaking" zero, but they are so small as to not be worth concern.

Specialists would have to want you very badly indeed to bother. For a start you would have had to do something bad enough to justify the expense involved in recovering data.
