I am using northen lights and when i veg them the never seem to get that tall but there very healthy and bushy. And they have about 8-10 sets of leaves but are full of side branches. They are about a foot tall do you think i should just let them flowerAnd that they will fill out and not be that tall.

Yes start them off now on 12 hours on and 12 hours off. They will gain a little more height up to about 10 inches, and after a couple of weeks will start putting out pistels if they are female, or little balls if they are male. Northern lights is a lovely short plant that can be quite a bush, sounds like yours are doing very well. Good luck

Peace

If you put your NL into flower at about 30-40cm (12-16in), you could expect them to add between 50% and 100% to their preflowered height during the 2 month flowering period.

600w lights can give you denser buds than a 400w light, but even with a 400, you can expect the calyx clusters at NL's internodes to swell until there is almost no gap between them, and most of the upper stem and branches are obscured by bud.
