Looks sweet man. A few people have said DG is a good one. What's the smell like on it? Is it anything special?
Looks lovely though. How far into flower is it? Looks like it will do some nice swelling before its finished.
Edit: Are those grow bags? Or are you really using a binbag?

Thanks Ganja, how much longer do you think should let them go? I've been givng them tap water 6.3 ph for the last 2 weeks(thats 6 waterings) to flush them. I thought the pistels would be at 50% when I took the above pics but it looks like maybe 30%. Also I picked up a 15X loupe and the capitated trichomes look clear, they used to look like crystals refracting light but they dont look that way anymore. holistic and Solidopc, the bags are some kind of potting bag they cost 15 cents a piece. They have drain holes that runoff into a plastic dish. I noticed I was giving them to much water because there was some kind of black mold growing in the dish that smelled bad so I washed the dish out and cutback on the watering. On my next grow I'll add more perlite to the mix and will probably have an inch of perlite on the bottom to wick off excess moisture.
Solidopc, today is day 57 of flowering. One of them simply smells like dark chocolate dipped strawberries, and the other one smells like that godiva raspberry chocolate drink. Yummmm

A week to ten days, I'd estimate. Two weeks might give a bit of extra bulk.
The pistils look to be approaching the right stage, even if they're a little below 50%. The buds themselves look well-developed and the resin glands look full in the close-up image. I personally don't worry too much about looking for amber trichomes as a sign of maturity. I like a mix of clear and cloudy. Trichomes continue to mature after harvest anyway, and a bud with crystal-clear resin glands at harvest can have mostly amber glands after a few months of curing. I'm not sure if two weeks of flushing before harvest is a good idea. In a hydro medium, this would be too much, as it's the final 25% of an average strain's harvest time, and hydro nutrients don't linger long in the medium, unless they're being over-applied. Soil, of course, has its own nutrients (and makes more through the action of bacteria) and holds them better than a hydro medium, so two weeks of no food won't starve soil plants (yours could be a darker green, but they're a long way from yellow). Still, since organic nutrients usually won't cause burn, taste problems or other effects of over-feeding, they may not need to be cut off at the 75% stage of flowering. There is a chance that lowered access to nutrients can slow flowering a little. So, I'd say at least a week, and two weeks might give unexpected extra development. If leaving for two more weeks, consider a couple of light doses of organic nutrient. |
