Here is my first crop at 23Days into flower.  I have never grown before and when I decided to turn them to flower I would say these plants were like 4 foot tall and quite gangly from the pics I have seen of other peoples grows on this site.   The plants are now closer to 6 foot and are starting to finally look like everyone else's %3co%20high.  I am hoping in the next 20 days of flower they dont get too much bigger as I have maxed out the height of my grow room the light is currently around 1.5 feet from the tops and cant really go anywhere else.  Either way on to the show.

There you go.  This is 3 plants, two of which were topped and created two more large branches at around the 8in mark or so.  Overall I am pretty satisfied with the yeild that the plants look like they are making.  I recently bought a scale so I can see what my overall yeild will be.  I have been keeping a money journal as well keeping track of all the costs of taking these plants from seed to weed.  I will be posting that here after I am done as well so others can see what the costs are.

***NOTE*** The color is due to the HPS light I have in there.    The leaves are actually a lush healthy green :D.

They look Indica dom, but could have a fair bit of Sativa in them, going by the structure and the leaf-blades.

23 days is about half to one third of the way through flowering. It's likely that these plants won't gain too much more height, but it's possible.

If the tallest buds start getting too close to the lights, the best option is to bend the stems/branches until they're parallel to the floor.

hey f4rmb0y,

nice plants, do you know what strain they are?
how are you growing, soil, hydro etc?
what size /type of light you using?
do you only plan to flower for 43 days or something?

one bit of advise i would give you now, is, get the inside of the growroom painted white, or covered with mylar or something similar, you need to be reflecting the light to get maximum results from it.

BM,

Strain - Skunk#1
Medium - Soil
Light - 400w MH conversion bulb for veg 400w HPS for Flower
Days - I am pretty much going to flower until the hairs turn like 50% or more in color like i read everywhere.

Yeah I know I need to paint the area they are in, but I am pretty much tapped on on funds for this. I am also thinking of moving the whole operation, as where they are now raises a little suspicion and I have nosy neighbors.

I am calling it a hopeful perpetual grow because i took successful clones from two of the plants and hope to make one of the clones into a mother plant.

Ganja,

The stems are pretty woody, I feel like I might break the stem if I bend it...i may try to lean them a little or something though.

Also I was thinking, I took clones from two of the plants and want to make a mother from it...I do not want the mother to get very tall and would rather it get more bushy....what steps can I take to train the clones to be more bushy rather than having them stretch.

Looking good mate. Did you flip all these 3 at the sametime? And do you have room for more plants to be put in there with those 3?

I'm not sure what kind of perpetual you are running. Are you going to be staggering your plants, so you have a couple of weels between each in terms of days in 12/12? Or are you just planning to flower these out and replace them all at the sametime when you harvest with cuttings you have vegged?

I run the first kind, so i have a plant coming down every couple of weeks or so. I guess aslong as you can harvest enough to keep you in green from those, while the other ones you put in flower, it makes no difference. Good work anyway. Respect.

Yeah I am not a big smoker so a few plants at a time is good for me. I flipped all three of these at the same time, and have a couple clones in a veg box. I figure that when these are finished around day 45 the clones will be ready for repotting.

I was hoping to make the clones to mother plants and just keep taking cuttings off them, but I want them to grow more bushy then to stretch and I am looking for advice on how to do that...might make another thread on it or something.

Thanks for the comments.
