Hello Sensi seeds :)

I'm trying to choose one of sensi's indoor seed packages, and I would like if possible to ask what is the best strain for pain relief ?

I suffer from chronic sciatica due to my medical condition called spinal disc herniation , and my pains is very hard to describe... anyway.. I grow cannabis for 4 years now , for obvious reasons, and still haven't tried any from the Sensi Seed collection.

If its possible, could you suggest me your best strain from your catalog , based on pain relief and the most strong sedative effects.. please ?

I was considering to order from your web-shop the Jack Herer's , or the Mr. Nice G13 X Hash Plant , but I'm not shure witch one is the best for my condition.

I'm also considering to buy the Hempflax USO-31 certificate and 100g hemp seed package =)

Thanks in advanced!    ital Jay

Well, my first instinct is recommend a powerful Indica or Indica hybrid for pain relief. Mr Nice, Northern Lights, Hindu Kush, Super Skunk, Shiva Skunk, Shiva Shanti 1, Sensi Skunk or Skunk #1.
The strains in this list range from some of our most expensive to some of our cheapest, and even the least expensive ones are suitably potent.

However, it's a bit irresponsible for a breeder or any other cannabis trader to tell people who are using cannabis for specific and genuine medical reasons that strain X or Y is better for condition A or B.

The question of how an individual patient reacts to an individual strain is just too subjective for non-medicinal cannabis professionals to answer. I think that someone who was really qualified to recommend a strain would have to know the patient  and their condition personally.

There are sites that have long lists of strains which are believed to help with certain conditions, but these are really just lists of subjective opinions (often second or third hand opinions at that).

Also, virtually all medicinal cannabis research carried out in labs, to scientific standards, works with THC, rather than the 'lesser' cannabinoids like CBD and CBN. There has been some research recently involving other cannabinoids but most of the data gathered purely concerns THC.

Therefore, different strains, with their different combinations of cannabinoids (the three mentioned, plus up to 60 others!) are extremely hard to recommend for treating specific conditions.
To compile some sort of strain-->illness guide pretty much relies on surveying patients and asking them how different strains made them feel. This info might be applicable to other patients, or it might be useless.

For instance, some people report that cannabis to provides them more effective pain relief  than opiates (not just in terms of danger/side-effects, but in actual pain-killing). On paper, however, this is not supported. I don't think any researcher would make that claim, as opium-derivates, in terms of quantifiable effects, are much more effective at deadening pain. This in no way suggests that the patients who obtain better pain relief from cannabis are 'wrong', but it goes to show how subjective the effects can be.

To recommend something to you, the most important question would be "what strain have you found to provide the most effective pain relief so far?"

Even if it doesn't have a brand or strain name, a description of its characteristics - more Indica or Sativa? Taller or shorter? Thicker buds or longer ones? More 'stoney' or 'high' effect? - could go a long way to answering the question

On the face of it, CBD and CBN-rich Indica-dom strains like the ones mentioned above might offer better pain relief. However, if you have a personal preference for the high of Sativas, the improvement in your feeling of wellbeing may outweigh the slight (perceived) advantages of Indica and Jack Herer or Jack Flash may actually make you feel better than Indicas.

Please let us know what's worked best so far.

Thanks for the fast reply %3c3coving%3c20it

What i really need at the moment is something that knocks me out fast like a sleeping tranquilizer but more of a  body muscle relaxer ,  like old morocco's hashish way back 10 or more years ago.. that stuff worked, I no longer use it cause the import quality is way low in modern days..

I'm not shure to go for a hybrid with tendency more for indica or more for sativa, maybe indica because of the body and head stone I'm looking for ?

I'm guessing I need the mr Nice one right, the indica  ?

the last strain I'm growing is the NL5 x Haze x Kali Mist , makes me go sleep very fast, its almost the one i needed, but not gave me the strong body knock out  on the muscles like i really need...

here's some pics:

Thanks in advance!

Okay, for a powerful Indica or Indica-dom with a strong body effect, you have a good number of choices and a wide array of prices

Mr Nice - probably our most powerful Indica, weight-for-weight

Shiva Skunk
} both very powerful and easy to grow
Super Skunk

Hindu Kush - unhybridised, pure Indica

Maple Leaf Indica - hybrid, pure Indica

Black Domina - multiple hybrid of four very powerful Indicas
