hi all,
after much thought i have decided on a new indoor grow setup.i am going with a bigger setup than my last one - its going to be 1m x 1m x 2m grow tent.I dont know whether to go hps or cfl lighting systems im kinda leaning towards 400w dual spec hps myself. id love to hear form some of the more experienced growers who advised me so well over the last year or so with any opinions on the subject, while you are at it id also love to hear some suggestions on that nutes that ye use.i am thinking of biobizz again (grow,bloom alg -a-mic)and maybe dr hornbys or canna 13-14 for bloom boost.im planning a 9x 10L pot grow of either sensi afghani or big bud this time round cant decide(would love to try jack but the budget is limited as ive had to return from Oz due to personal reasons and im up to my tonsils in debt (£350 max budget all in ). my last grow was a disaster barely got 2oz from 6 plants(medusa) but its a lovely smoke.I would like something that will produce big so i can cut back on my leccy bill and do less grows per year as im unemployed at the mo and dont have a lot of spare cash(plus the missus is panicing over the last security breach but that was 8 mths ago and havnt seen or heard from that person since nor did i get busted thankfully!!!!!!!!!)

Are you still talking in GBP or is that a typo and you meant AUD? If you do mean GBP then you'll probably have to spend half your budget going on ventilation and cooling for an HID lamp. It's probably doable, but if you meant $350 Australian, I have to say tuck your money away and save setting up until the weather cools off in the Autumn. Even with a CFL set up you will still need decent air extraction from the tent and be able to keep the room outside the tent cooled to around 24C, but you should get away without seperate aircooling for the lights. |

i meant GBP,im now back "home", Oz was a disaster lasted 5 weeks - long story wont bore anyone with it!! still jetlagged thats why i took so long to reply.
was sorry to read bout your break in - lowlifes.just hope in a way they dont get caught cos with them being the scum that they are they would rat you out to save their own necks and im sure i speak for all forum members when i say i wouldnt want that to happen.Would like some more opinions on the bloom boosters if anyone would care to share their views on it

welcome back asder,
i would go for the hps mate, if you go the cfl route, you will find you will end up needing about 4 of them for flowering, and they will produce just as much heat as the hps. nemo, grows with cfl's, although hes not been on for a while, so may not anymore, but he found he needed 4 of them during flowering.
as for the booster, ive read that the pk 13/14 isnt the best for mj, the ratios of the p and k or something. i use big bud, from advanced nutrients, the powder form has an npk 0/15/40, i found this stuff the bollox, but a pain in the arse having to take scales out to the flower room to weigh it out all the time. whereas all my other nutes are liquids. so, ive just recently changed over to the liquid form, its twice the price, and the npk is only 0/2/4, so you need a lot more to get the same ec.
you get 130g of the powder for £12.99, and 0.5g gives 300ppm. but the liquid, you get a litre for £26.99 and you need 5ml for 300ppm.
ive nearly finished the bottle after 9 weeks, the pot of powder lasts nearly 4 months.
i would also avise on using a bloom stimulator too. i used to use top max, but found when i changed to b'cuzz bloom stim it enhanced the aroma and flavour of my buds, so i use it all the time now.

ya its been a while so its nice to hear from you.this were the nutes i used for my last grow
BioBizz Grow/ Bloom/ top max and alg a mic using all mix soil (added molasses i bought in holland and barrets)
so if im correct your nutes for feeding are:
bio bizz Grow
Alg a mic
big bud powder - for bloom
b'cuzz bloom stim
will you let me know if that is correct mate?.i was really disappointed with my last grow results so i want to try something diffrent to see if i can improve my yield.
