went up to feed my plants today and the f'in light hadn't come on and the ballast was making a hideous noise, after lots of fiddling about their is still no joy with it so I'm going to have to get a new ballast tomorrow from somewhere, but by the time I get back from work the plants would of been in the dark for 36 hours, today was the first day of 12/12, can't believe this has happened so pissed off and I haven't even got a joint

Try not to bite people's heads off if they are off target... your first post doesn't actually have a clear question in it.

Plants should be fine, just keep some ventilation going so they aren't sitting in a dark and moist room. Hope the new ballast solves your problem.

Nevermind luke no harm done. I think if you searched the internet long enough you would probably find an article telling you to leave them in the dark for a week before flowering because it will stress them into resin production. I dont beleive its true but now you are in a position to find out :)

this goes around every now and again, the last time i remember it was about a year or so ago, 'give them 24 hours of darkness before going into 12/12 and they will start flowering quicker'.
i tried it a few times and found no difference what so ever.
