cheers doktadelic, it was to be expected so is not too disappointing, they were not in the most secretive spots now that i look back at where they were planted. the others are now doing well, they seem to struggle for the first couple of weeks and then do ok, the biggest problem is slugs and other insects which seem to love living around the plants. here is a newer pic of one of the plants that was all white and looked like it was about to die, it now seems to have bark!

so heres an update nearly 3 months later! it has been interesting seeing what happened to all these plants over the summer. the best one and another one got stolen, a couple turned into males during october, and some just failed to produce bud in time due to getting murdered by slugs. one of the plants got us about 2 grams of nice bud after we removed all the leaves and dried it, here it is about a week before we took it out (i think)
![]() then heres an early skunk that was taken out of the ground and put in a grow room, didn't like the switch very much so after a few days it got chopped, there is a little bud on it, but mainly leaf. the reason for it being so small is that it got put out late and then fed the surrounding slugs for a month or so. this is a pretty old photo, it had been budding for a while when we moved it. ![]() and here is the final one still going, an early skunk that got absolutely destroyed by slugs (like nearly all the plants) but has fought back. the head got eaten off so a new branch took over, it is another case of a plant that looks to have so much potential but all the areas of budding are nearly all leaf with little bud. it will probably get another week before the weather becomes too much to take. i am amazed at how well this strain does in the uk, considering the conditions and how the slugs got hold of it, and it still looks like this coming towards november. ![]() all in all it has been good fun, i look forward to next summer. if any people growing out doors want some advice mine is BEWARE OF THE SLUGS! do a proper job of putting wire mesh around your plants and make it impossible for them to get to them. |
