need advice on lighting my grow

   i have grown before but with cheap lighting, i now have the money to do it right 
im shopping at my lacal hydro supply and im not rich or anything so i have my eye on a
225$ 400w mh/hps switchable setup with a yeid master II classic reflector that measures 20x21x7  with a width of 4in or 6in for 20$ more.

 i would like to know what kind of area this will cover,i plan to grow a few plants in a sea of green or a scrog  and dont want tall plants but short and bushy all at the same height so i figure i can  keep the light pretty close within reason, but not sure how this will effect the coverage area.

so is this light a good choice for my needs and how much difference in coverage will there be in the 4and6 inch reflector width?

 any help is appreciated
