Aphids totally infesting a leaf - larvae (white grubs), eggs, and adults (with six legs). Aphids are quite rare to indoor growing (they're never a problem at the Museum), but may often be seen on outdoor and greenhouse plants. Garlic, chili and nicotine sprays are effective. Some aphids are resistant to pyrethrum. Sticky yellow traps are useful to catch adults, and can give growers advance warning of potential infestations
