Admins were concerned and advised you to eliminate anything related to weed. Lucky you did as common sense would dictate and the cops didn't find anything. I'm sure sensi constantly monitors the regulations imposed by the target countries and you also did the right thing IMOby giving permission to the custom guy to open your pack, they would have done it anyways. Don't know what went wrong....
You can also gradually tie her to the ground and control her growth that way.Hope she turns out be a she for you. Good on ya!

Latest News : Marijuana as a wonder drug

    Author: Frank
Subject: Marijuana as a wonder drug
Posted: 18 August 2007 at 08:27

<p ="byline">By Lester Grinspoon | <span ="date">March 1, 2007

A NEW STUDY in the journal Neurology is being hailedas unassailable proof that marijuana is a valuable medicine. It is asad commentary on the state of modern medicine -- and US drug policy --that we still need "proof" of something that medicine has known for5,000 years.

The study, from the University of California atSan Francisco, found smoked marijuana to be effective at relieving theextreme pain of a debilitating condition known as peripheralneuropathy. It was a study of HIV patients, but a similar type of paincaused by damage to nerves afflicts people with many other illnessesincluding diabetes and multiple sclerosis. Neuropathic pain isnotoriously resistant to treatment with conventional pain drugs. Evenpowerful and addictive narcotics like morphine and OxyContin oftenprovide little relief. This study leaves no doubt that marijuana cansafely ease this type of pain.

As all marijuana research in theUnited States must be, the new study was conducted withgovernment-supplied marijuana of notoriously poor quality. So itprobably underestimated the potential benefit.

This is all goodnews, but it should not be news at all. In the 40-odd years I have beenstudying the medicinal uses of marijuana, I have learned that therecorded history of this medicine goes back to ancient times and thatin the 19th century it became a well-established Western medicine whoseversatility and safety were unquestioned. From 1840 to 1900, Americanand European medical journals published over 100 papers on thetherapeutic uses of marijuana, also known as cannabis.

Of course, our knowledge has advanced greatly over the years. Scientists haveidentified over 60 unique constituents in marijuana, calledcannabinoids, and we have learned much about how they work. We havealso learned that our own bodies produce similar chemicals, calledendocannabinoids.

The mountain of accumulated anecdotal evidencethat pointed the way to the present and other clinical studies alsostrongly suggests there are a number of other devastating disorders andsymptoms for which marijuana has been used for centuries; they deservethe same kind of careful, methodologically sound research. While fewsuch studies have so far been completed, all have lent weight to whatmedicine already knew but had largely forgotten or ignored: Marijuanais effective at relieving nausea and vomiting, spasticity, appetiteloss, certain types of pain, and other debilitating symptoms. And it isextraordinarily safe -- safer than most medicines prescribed every day.If marijuana were a new discovery rather than a well-known substancecarrying cultural and political baggage, it would be hailed as a wonderdrug.

The pharmaceutical industry is scrambling to isolatecannabinoids and synthesize analogs, and to package them innon-smokable forms. In time, companies will almost certainly come upwith products and delivery systems that are more useful and lessexpensive than herbal marijuana. However, the analogs they haveproduced so far are more expensive than herbal marijuana, and none hasshown any improvement over the plant nature gave us to take orally orto smoke.

We live in an antismoking environment. But as a methodof delivering certain medicinal compounds, smoking marijuana has somereal advantages: The effect is almost instantaneous, allowing thepatient, who after all is the best judge, to fine-tune his or her doseto get the needed relief without intoxication. Smoked marijuana hasnever been demonstrated to have serious pulmonary consequences, but inany case the technology to inhale these cannabinoids without smokingmarijuana already exists as vaporizers that allow for smoke-freeinhalation.

Hopefully the UCSF study will add to the pressure onthe US government to rethink its irrational ban on the medicinal use ofmarijuana -- and its destructive attacks on patients and caregivers instates that have chosen to allow such use. Rather than admit they havebeen mistaken all these years, federal officials can cite "importantnew data" and start revamping outdated and destructive policies. Thenew Congress could go far in establishing its bona fides as bothreasonable and compassionate by immediately moving on this issue.

Suchlegislation would bring much-needed relief to millions of Americanssuffering from cancer, AIDS, multiple sclerosis, arthritis, and otherdebilitating illnesses.

<span ="tagline">Lester Grinspoon,an emeritus professor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, is thecoauthor of "Marijuana, the Forbidden Medicine."
<div ="copyright">© Copyright 2007 Globe Newspaper Company.

Do you have any females left? If not then don't be put off, you'll have more luck next year. You can hang'em upside down and roll the tops/tips between your hands to create stick or joint like shapes which can be good for smoking. Maybe you can even make cannabutter or cook with it.

Last night a police helicopter flew over my house extremely low, slowed down and made a half circle around my property. It was so close, that I could make out a cop sitting in the open doorway of the chopper, staring out. In fact it made such noise that even my girlfriend came out to have a look. Well, I have like 2 big mature plants and 2 smaller ones in pots. I'm not quite sure if they saw them or not but I'm seriously considering moving them out asap. I have a really good relationship with my neighbours and I'm sure they don't know about my operation. I lost contact ages ago with people dealing and nobody knows about it except my cousin who I trust completely. Luckily I live near the woods and there are a few clearings I can take them out to. My question is, will an almost two metre beauty survive such an ordeal? I'll try to dig around the plant as deep as possible and carry it with the biggest "earth ball" I can manage. Thanks in advance guys for any ideas. Bom Sankar...

It's about halfway up the stem and there it has thickened. I had this happen before ages ago and don't quite remember if it caused any problems or not. I think it's some kind of worm ,which might be heading up inside the stem. Mick's link is great, I had a look but this case is not mentioned. Otherwise the plant looks healthy. What do you guys reckon?

Thanks in advance.
From there you could head to Berry Jam Lake, which is another 20-25klicks away and the road that takes you there is ancient and tantalising as it winds through an amazing variety of flora and fauna...well if it sounds like an adventure...go for it!You won't regret it.

Been to many places since then and before but somehow India remains a jewel embedded deep in my memories. That is the reason why I haven't been back as I don't want my perceptions changed.Unfortunately nothing stays the same in this fast-paced world so sometimes its better to cherish something the way we want to remember it.

Any ways , we came across shrooms around Kodaikanal in the Western Ghats down south, from a German guy who lived there and worked as a gardener at the local golf course(good place for shrooms). But since it was off season he only found a few for him self. Later we went on a shrooming expedition without much luck unfortunately, alas we found an other type that looks the same, even goes blue when pressed by hand but without the active ingredient. We didn't try it(quite dangerous business, unless you are a professional) but were told by the locals, who even suggested to come after the rainy season when it is everywhere including the room we were renting. There being dried out. We weren't bummed about this, since we found everything we were looking for, even grass oil made from a very old equatorial Indian Sativa tree.. Wow....
We cannabis lovers and many other like minded people(artists,musicians..doctors:) ) know its special nature and learn to respect it. Personally I think cannabis definitely has psychologically addictive properties (as we all know) how could it not "the herb is smoke, it's just a powerful potion",but as Ganja said I would also compare it in terms of addiction to sugar and coffee where one can easily go without it, like skipping coffee for some reason or other, then during the day being slightly more annoyed. I think one must strive for balance in general and that includes the holy smoke. Respect it and don't abuse it. Take care guys and Bom Siva.
Alas, when one travels alone and comes across the holy herb in remote settings it sets the senses on fire.

O.k enough...the best I had or should say one of the most memorable, was with a close friend in Mulehe Baja California Mexico after a great American road trip. We arrived in this beautiful tropical village and while cruising around I noticed a red freckled(did not look Mexican) dude on a Construction site signalling to have a smoke after five. We went back to pick him up, then drove to his buddies camping. On arrival a long- haired cool guy greeted us, who spoke excellent English. We gave him 10 bucks and got a tiny bag full which they started rolling from. First, we were pissed off about the amount then as the two spliffs circulated and burnt, we got extremely ripped and started having paranoid illusions that we're getting robbed for sure. Of course nothing as such happened, only we got a big bag of smoke for our money when we said goodbye. After we went to the beach to chill because we could not handle people around us, thought everyone was a cop.... out to get us.
Author: Frank
Subject: The Challenge
Posted: 13 January 2007 at 15:04

Great argument guys. There are plain facts and a lot of guessing around by us novice and experts alike. Naturally scientific data can be considered legitimate as there are scores of experts working together, sharing information and debating arguments. Flora on our mother planet is absolutely vital for its survival and balance since it evolved naturally ,even before cave men could mutter. But as cave men evolved so did earth with its ice age and different climatic era. As mentioned earlier humans impact on our ecosystem only began a century ago along with industrialization. A hundred years is puny in earths life span but still significant regarding the impact it had so far. We are living in such a high transcient world today where the accelarative thrust is so great that we can barely hold on to our hats, values and forests. Our planet is over-populated with energy-hungry megapolises, greedy and ignorant politicians who breed a throw-away society which threatens the vital balance of our earth. Although I believe there is light at the end of the tunnel as our nature awareness is growing world-wide, backed up by the technological engine allowing far greater interactions amongst nations and means of conducting investigations, experiment and studies of our planets delicately intertwined ecosystem.

There was a great documentary on climate change by National Geographic, where they took air samples from ice drilled in the Antarctic. Tiny air bubbles get trapped in the ice layers over centuries and by testing the composition of these "air samples" they could compose a graph showing atmosperic conditions dating back to thousands of years.
Interestingly even before humans could have contributed to climate change, there were peaks in the graphs indicating a major change in climate possibly caused by huge volcanic eruptions or meteorite impacts. But unfortunately scientist predict the change we are facing now, indicated by the graphs will be the most severe to come.
Btw if I remember correctly from my biology studies from high school a cow produces something like four kg of methane gas every day."Early in the Earth's history—about 3.5 billion years ago—there was1,000 times as much methane in the atmosphere as there is now. Theearliest methane was released into the atmosphere by volcanic activity.During this time, Earth's earliest life appeared. These first, ancientbacteria added to the methane concentration by converting hydrogen andcarbon dioxide into methane and water. Oxygen did not become a majorpart of the atmosphere until photosynthetic organisms evolved later inEarth's history. With no oxygen, methane stayed in the atmospherelonger and at higher concentrations than it does today."From Wikipedia......Cheers bom siva.

Advice on Choosing a Strain : 47th latitude

I prefer a potent cerebral high effect to body centered stone. I already have a packet of Durban(I know it's not a hybrid) and was thinking of JP or maybe a greenhouse variety as my location has an abundance of sun all day, and the season tends to last until the end of Oktober. The season is usually dry and hot but has a tendency to be humid as well. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
I don't think this should be a problem in your location but balconies tend to get quite hot, especially if its south facing. I would also place some insulating material like wood under the pots so they are not in direct contact with the hot tiles and hence some ventilation is retained as well. Also watch those lights in your surroundings during flowering time. You don't want everything ruined right at the end.....
Good luck mate.
