Thought i'd start a small grow log of the reduxilicious Early skunk auto..
The facts will be few and far between, so this is a grow show really..

These were started on the 24/04/17 and after a few weeks of dull spring weather they have finally taken off in the summer sun, they are already giving off a nice skunky funk too.. Yum!

Stay tuned for more updates and we'll see what this re-imagined old girl can do..

Peace

A couple more..

The two in the green tub are much more "indica" looking, shorter internode distance, less branching with fatter leaves..

This one has a stronger skunk smell and i think/hoping it'll show the "sativa" side of the early skunk parent.

I am still alive Sickle, lol to the surprise of certain medical specialists. The med scene in Aus might sound good in a news article but it's shit, utter shit. It means nothing positive to people who need or want to use cannabis for medicinal purposes.

Some legislation has been passed that means the pollies can point to it and say "See we are doing something", but the restrictions are severe, the paper work is a complete nightmare and in the end or they are really offering is access to sativex like products that we could already access before the legislation changes. lol the changes have actually made it harder to access and finally (drumroll) practically no one can afford it.

Oh and you basically lose the right to drive a vehicle because it has been made a crime to drive with any detectable trace of cannabis in your mouth.

Maybe, in a few years, parents of children with severe epilepsy may benefit.

I truly despise our federal politicians.

Thanks castle,  greenhouses are a great way of growing cannabis in unfavorable climates... Im liking the auto early skunk so far. If your interested in the A.E.S the three pack is very affordable and great to have some fun with in the great outdoors..

Apologies Sarah, i think i may have hit report post by mistake.. my bad....%3cmbarrass%3cd one, two, many imbibed...

Hang in there sister.
Don't get me started on politicians, there's some weird right wing shit going on around the world i don't quite understand..

Yeah!
I suppose its easy for someone from a non canna friendly country to look on an say "hey that looks good" its the same with some friends in Canada, the rules are strict and basically give the green light for big business to come in and own it all... Same with California too, my friends there who have owned a farm in Mendocino for two generations are honestly thinking about selling up and moving back to Britain....Britain!

They used to make a living out of growing but now they fear that with the coming "recreational" laws the market will be flooded with every tom dick & harry.com which is sad but probably true..

Anyways,
As always Sarah, We're sending love & healing thoughts from sickleland..

Ok, apologies for my absence, work & life bla bla bla.......

Heres an update...

These are good sized auto's with all three clocking 1m+ due to a fair bit of flowering stretch. All have good branching & a subtle skunky smell, i can see why sensi have stated that they can appear top heavy... all the bud sites are located toward the end of the branches & central stem with very few bud sites along the branch stems.

This one ^ is the fastest to flower with the others being a week behind.

A shot to show the size
some support is in order me tinks..

Hmmm, i really must plant out those toms. ^

The story so far.......

They have just started to produce trichomes, to be honest i was a tad worried there for a minute that they would be resinless hempy buds but they are now putting out.. Late developers! The musky skunk funk has also ramped up and is now over powering the tomatoes.

I'm guessing that they are about a month away from fully ripe buds

If i had a male to hand i'd pollinate this one^  it's fast an looks to be the best yielding.

I didnt have the right lens on so couldn't get a resin shot but will do in the coming weeks.

Verdict so far, They are showing great resistance to high temps it was clocking 35.c in the greenhouse for a week or two, although as long as they have good water access i have not found high temps to be a problem. The real test will come as the buds start to fill in...

Looking great Sickle! You are right about the heat, they can take it if the water is kept up and there is enough air circulation. Over the summer, I'd have 35C outside and 42C inside the green house on a regular basis. It wasn't a problem, I di have a fan inside the greenhouse to put hot air out of the space though.

Good advice SL %3chumbs%20Up

Heres a few shots with a macro lens to show the resin.
The skunky funk is really nice, not your average skunk funk, there is something different to it! maybe the early pearls influence.. Imo flavor/smell are 80% of the battle, i'm not a chronic smoker anymore so potency is not a worry for me..

Pix are a tad large so you will need to scroll at the bottom to see them..

Still no sign of mould! auto's can be prone to rot in the bath sponge like climate i have, but these auto early skunk taking it in their stride...If these sail through with only minimal mold Auto Early Skunk is on the repeat prescription list lol

I have stopped feeding so they will only get rain water for the next two or there weeks..

Final shot before harvesting.

Im very impressed with sensi's new auto, its hardy resistant and productive, i will be ordering it again.

Showing some nice autumnal colours and still no sign of mould, I have harvested one that was 100% done.. Yum Yum!

Will be back for a smoke report soon.

looks amazing congratz. dident relize until now you grew 2 in 1 pot or is there any thing seperating roots? heard that was something to avoid? well enjoy your fruit :)

best regards.

Thanks Cast, no there is nothing separating the roots, i find if the pot is big enough there is no problem growing two in one pot. I have grown this way for many many years with photo's and auto's an never had any problems.. well, some times photosensitive plants can become a tad crowded so i usually do some trimming....

Ok,  smoke report..

All three had a piney skunk aroma with a little something hiding in the background, not quite sure what it was i couldn't put my finger on it.. Effect was pleasantly potent, not stonking strong like most modern strains. But to be honest i have been moving away from uber potent cannabis for the last few years..

There was slight differences in effect among the three individuals ranging from more indica type effects to a clearer type buzz on the open structured individual..

All in all, early skunk auto is an easy rewarding new twist on a classic, well worth a bit of space in anyone's greenhouse. A great smoke for doing jobs around the garden, "functionally positive"  was the phrase coined by my better half..

I will be growing the remainder of the pack this season.

Good luck & good weather

Thanks mate, of all the auto's i have grown in the greenhouse auto early was the only one that didn't mould! The weather was great in the last few weeks of the grow though which helps.. Thats the benefit of auto i guess.

I will be stating the remaining two seeds at the end of the month and will post the progress in this thread, hoping for the early pearl leaner again. Good luck with your season fella, what ever you choose.
