Hi everyone,

According to previous post you can find some pictures of the setup and of plants in my photo gallery :

The most mature plant is a C4XC99 which was a great pheno with beautiful buds and a nice smell.

The 4 other seedlings and veg plants are some NL at different steps : Day 1, Day 4, Day 13, Day 19 and Day 32.

Some other pictures will come ...

I begin a new grow in a few days so i have enough time to post pictures from seedlings to harvest ...

Thank's

Wow, 100 days, why so long? Seems increidbly long for an indica.

What sort of set up you got there? Lights, medium, nutes, pot size, etc etc. You grow in a budbox or something like that?

Welcome to sensi anyways.

Hi solidopc

Thank's coming on my topic.

When i say 100 days it is separated in 34 days of vegetative phase and 66 days of flowering phase.

I grow in a small closet with a 250W HPS, A RVK 125mm and BioBizz All-mix, biogrow and biobloom.

You say you use bio bizz grow and bloom.

I too use bio bizz grow and bloom with top max, but i noticed i was still getting certain defciencys. For example magnesium, magnese.

I was looking ariund everywhere for whats in the grow. bloom and top max, apart from what it say on the bottle, but cant find anything.

So ive bought myself some bio bizz alg a mic, and bio bizz heaven.

The bio bizz heaven, has absolutly loads of micro and normal nutes, and with this and the alg a mic, im sure i womt have anymore problems.

I'd definatly recommend the heaven, and the alg a mic is great for sparying onto cuttings and young plants.

Hi Solidopc,

Thank's a lot for your interesting comments on the nutrients BioBizz.

That's true : Grow+Bloom+TopMax isn't enough for providing all nutrients the plants need.

There are the Heaven and Alg A Mix but also root juice which is really efficient to achieve an high volume of roots quickly at the beginning of the vegetative phase and after boom !

I am interested in an example of nutrient schedule ... I don't use the one from BioBizz, of course i have one for each plant as they have their own need.

Hi sir promixalot,

This is not sensi's NL , all plants were grown from F2 seeds  from another seedbank.

Smoke report :

Different tastes according to the plant, however tasty, sweet with some flavours of agrumes.

The effects were ( as an indica ) to be stoned ;) but one pheno was more cerebral and a good high ( quite funny ).

Thank's for coming on my topic, see you later

Hi everyone,

Pictures

I don't have access to my personal computer as my parent-in-law are in my house so for the pictures it is quite difficult to post images.

Caramella

I am really interested in growing some Caramella but it seems Homegrown Fantaseeds don't sell them anymore Unhappy

Is there a strain in the catalog of Sensi Seeds which can be close to this strain ?

Peace, Yaelandar

Soil : BioBizz All-mix from the seedlings to harvesting

Nice work! Thanks for the report.

I'd think organic nutrients are fine to use at almost any age.

Unless the bottle has some kind of advice about how long to keep it after opening, I'd use it.

You may even see some kind of growth in the solution, if the bottle is not opaque. Unless it looks like a particularly virulent fungus, even this nutrient is probably fine to use.

It's all organic, after all...

Hi Ganja,

I am really pleased you posted on my topic. You are welcome everytime you want to give me some advices, tips or just say Hi ! Smile

I aggree with you about nutrients and more precisely bio ones but even on the bottle there are no details about the time one can use it so i am quite anxious of using it another time.

The liquids are well, no fungus, they are like in 2006. I smell the same odor.

The bottles were in a box without light and in fresh temperature so they should be good.

I am worrying about that because my growshop retailer told me to not use them but as i don't know him very well i am suspicious and i think he wants just to sell ...

Thank's holistic,

My set up is not finished ( i changed of appartment so a new one means to rebuild the set up) : i will put some mylar on the walls for best penetration of the light between the branches of the plants and also to make an isolation from outside light ( even if the closet is in a closed room ).

I will veg at least 40 days ( i like big trees ;) ) even if it all depends of the plants ....

Why not comparing the growth between these two strains ....

NL Day 5 ( again Wink )

On day 5 the mylar has been put on the walls and according to the yield of previous grow without mylar if the plants turn out to be ladies with mylar the yield could be higher ( your opinion ?)

Here is a pic of a macro of the most advanced plant.

I am a little disappointed as there is quite a few replies here even if i understand vegging and seedlings are not the best models for pictures it is the most interesting part of the grow as we can see which plant will be robust or not ...

Mylar definitely sounds a good idea - anything to increase the available light must be good. Not sure if it makes a hugely noticeable difference but I guess you will soon find out!

NL day 7

Hi Holistic and Nemo : I follow your topics and i find them very interesting, please update them with pics ... Thumbs%20Up

My ladies ( with love they will be Wink ) are goign well. The plant with a singular leave keeps growing and next leaves are well so no problem. One plant has a leave with four parts , yes i know it's strange but i swear i have not smoked ...

So about the mylar it will increase the light propagation in the cab and according to my knowledge in a room it has given really good results with compare to without about the growth of the plants and the yield ( of course similar nutrients and environment ...)

Here are the pics of this morning for day number seven for the cab set up with mylar and the plants.

Have a nice day, i need to go to work now !

NL Diary More details :

Today as the temperature in the cab is not too high i decided to lower the light, now the light is at a distance of around 35cm of the plants : the main purpose to have the light close to the plants is to have the most little distance between the internodes of the plants and make small and compact plants before turning the light to 12/12 which will make the plants to stretch.

Here are for the diary of NL day 7.

Temperature Problem

Hi everyone,

My cab is in a room and i find that during the night the temperature is may be too low. This night i was in the room just before the sun goes high in the sky Wink  at around 5am and i don't know what was the temperature value but quite low.

I will buy a thermometer to check the min and max value in this room, it is the first time i grow in this room and i hope the temperature min and max are not too distant.

What do you think about the values of the temperature during the day and during the night in the light cycle of the plants ?

Comments and ideas are welcome

Temperature in the cab

Hi,

I bought this day during my lunch break a thermometer with savings of the min/max values and the results are quite incoherent : There are two sensors ( in and out ) but i use them in the cab at two different places, one near the pots of the plants and one at around 20 cms of the bulb.

They are giving as results 31°C and 35°C according to the fact the cab has been closed a few minutes ago and maybe these results don't take into account the air circulation between the holes at the floor and the RVK at the top of the cab.

I find these values incoherent because i don't feel on the back of my hand that the temperature near the plants could be between 31 and 35°C.

I think that the values this evening will be lower ones as the air flow will make a stabilization of the temperature.

Does someone has an experience with this kind of thermometer, may the value be different  from reality due to precision of the sensor ?

Another questions :

1) does the light may influence the sensor ?

2) Should I put the thermometer above the light to avoid light influence ?

Please share your experience on temperature monitoring Smile

Peace Yael

hi
ok really you need 3 theostats one above the plants one in the middle of grow room then one at the roots if you dont fancy that idea keep it in the middle at night the temp can go as low as 18-19c during day can be from 25-26 great but up to 30-34c ( with fans )
i now run 3 throm and keeping the temps at 18c 26c around the plants with air movement is best.

Hi Holistic

Thank's for the details about temperature.

The temperature computed by a thermometer is indeed influenced by light and by using a box in which the air can flow the values during the day are around 26°C above the lamp and 27.5°C at the bottom of the cab so these values are good for me.

About the temperature during the night i will have some informations tomorrow morning. The temperature i had in the previous room of grow were the same as in the new room, now i am waiting for the temperature at night.

So the temperature during the night is around 18°C so i find this very good Wink

The plants are going well and they are growing secoundary branches, great growth rate compared to the previous ones.

Have a nice evening and again thank's holistic.

Peace Yael

You're definitely right about the great growth rate on your NLs, they are racing ahead of my Afghanis... perhaps I should show my afghanis a picture of your NLs to try and embaress mine into growing a bit quicker... Angry

NL Day 11

Hi Nemo,

Thank's for your comments,

Don't embarass them too much they could become too angry and grow too tall for your growroom Wink

Here are a pic of the growroom ( with a tungstene filter to take the pics ) and a pic of the secoundary branches which have begun to grow ( with the same filter)
The plants have some lower leaves which begin to yellow so i will begin feeding them with nitrogen earlier than i thought and i think this evening. They were watered every three days but it seems they are becoming more hungry and it's so good Thumbs%20Up

NL Day 12

Hi everyone and thank's holistic for your comments.

Today morning as the lower leaves of the plants are yellowing i have given them around 0.75mL/L of BioGrow

I began feeding them earlier than i planned but as the growth rate is important this is normal they have eaten most nutrients of the all-mix soil so now until giving them some bigger pots they will have biogrow.

Peace Yael ( sometimes i am wondering if it's worth writting a diary Unhappy )

Hey yael...

I think you have helped me with your news about temperatures. Your temps are very similar to mine, and your cab is smaller and you are using hps - therefore I can definitely get an hps loving%20it just gotta find the money now. I will update my diary later to show you but my seedlings are still way behind yours, it looks like the hps may be better than cfl for vegging AND for flowering (unless you have some other secret for fast growth you are not sharing with us!). Apart from the light the only other difference between our grows is that your seedlings are in all mix, mine are in light mix. I'm not having any yellowing problems yet so I think mine are getting enough nutrients at the minute.

Oh, and I think it's worth writing the diary, keep it up! The information is very useful to me, as it means I can compare results against my setup and work out how to make mine better next time. I guess its probably not worth updating as often as we have been for the whole grow, but its definitely worth doing...

NL Day 14

So Here we are, the ladies ( i hope so ) are two weeks old Big%20smile
They have been feeded on sunday morning and some have some little burnt leaves due to nutrients but nothing to worry about, the growth is really good and by avoiding myself posting some pics you will really show the difference Wink ( of course i made some pics everyday ...)

Hi El Cezar and Nemo,

Thank's for your kind comments. I am a little disappointed because i was an active forumer on overgrow and when the servers have been shut down i really did not know if i would write again some diarys and i started in sensiseeds some topics and i really find that it is not as active as overgrow, i am i think "nostalgic" so%20high

@ El Cezar : i disagree about saying " remember most people like to reply only went something exiting is happening like flowering, harvest " because it is during the seedlings and vegetative stage that we prepare the plants to flower a lot by making them having some good roots system and big stems ...

I will post some pics tomorrow,

Peace Yael

Hey Yaelandar i was just trying to cheer you up, to me this forum or any forum is new , everything i know on cannabis is by my books  videos and practice , now and i have been growin indoor for about more then a year, here where i'm front nothing is avalible for indoor cultivation, no seeds no lamps no nutrients , so to me this has been very hard to do , i have a strong instalation the i build on my own and everything inside has bee build front cero ,,,and i work alone, all my mistake have had deep consecuenses because no help was arround, and i still can manage , front the begining i want to grow  Sensi strein , my favor is Jack Herer and Northen Light#5+Haze, but non of that arround here so i stared with what i found, at this time i'm feeling worse than you because i think i'm not wanted arround and is kind sad ... some forum members have been very nice and helpfull and i deeply appreciate and be thankfull to that ... still i'm not changing my preference for sensi seeds wich i wiil keep trying to get some,... like i said before i been doin this on my own and i can stay doin't , all i have try to do is chear my knoledge and feeling with every body , any way everything you post i'm sure is a lot of help for many people the are trying to star growing ,with this i mean that everything is importan , so keep posting  your prosses,...... my self i will try to stay working on my garden every day like i been doint for the past year and not posting or replying at night like i been doint for the last month , that way no body have to take my post out of the forum .......like yesterday happen...... front this point i have learn tha i can teach more then i can learn and with more practice and mistakes i will  get a lot better every day   Yaelandar this has nothing to do with your reply i'm thankfull for that....wich you the best on your growin!!!!

Are you feeding those plants?I'd hold off if you are. They are looking a bit burnt, allthough they look a bit pale also in the second.. That curly leaf thing, could be overfeeding.

Hi Solidopc,

I have fed them only one time a few days ago because some leaves were yellowing. Now as they have bigger pots with allmix they won't have nutrients for weeks.

Maybe you're right about the overfeeding but they are not as pale as you think. I use a filter with my cam to take the pics in order not to have the yellow light of the hps.

I will take some pics in natural light to show you.

Hi Nemo and holistic,

Thank's a lot. It is very amazing to use filters on cams to have different quality of pics and colours of the plants.
They are going well indeed and thank's for your comments.

Hi Solidopc,

According to your post on Jonney topic the leaves of my plants are not turning down so it should not be overfeeding, they quite turn up so may be they are just sweating Wink

Some leaves ( the newest ones so the most little ones, the new growth part of the plants ) are not straight if you understand what i mean, they are quite curved , what do you think about that ?

Peace Yael

Aslong as your new growth is healthy, i wouldnt worry. It looks fine to me, not that curled up. 27celcius, isnt a bad temp. My temps are slightly higher than that at lights on at 28 celcius, and o dont have any troubles from the temps.

Do you nutes you feed them have Mg in them? If they dont, your plants will probably like a mild feed of epsom salts at some point in veg. If you start noticing lower growth, yellowing, and little rust brown spots. They are wanting some extra Mg. As it gets worse, the tips of leafs will die and curl, and yellowing and spots will increase. Cannabis uses alot of Mg, so its a common def to look out for.

This will usually not occur in the first 4 weeks of the plants life. Watch out for it from week 4 onwards.

Hi Solidopc,

Thank's for your answer.

I use Biobizz ( as you i think ) and all-mix soil. I have just feeded them one time ( i wouldn't have done that but sometimes you know ... ) . I don't know if there is some Mg in Biobizz allmix.

I only think i am too "protector " with my plants and gets worried even if i don't have to Big%20smile.
The growth is good and speed of growth is increasing, just the first leaves ( cotyledons and first couple ) are yellowing and i have always seen that.

I am really interested in Epsom salts ( at the right time, 4 weeks why not ), where can i find that ?

Peace Yael

You can buy epsom salts at a chemists. Its very cheap.

Plants seem to like two feedings of it in their life time i find. One in veg, and one in flower. Once you get to week 4, just watch out for little brown spots on the lower leaves, and yellowing and crispy tips of leafs.

Thank's Shane and Holistic for your kind comments.

The plants are now going bigger and bigger everyday and that's why i did not post some pics since March the 1st.

Tonight i will post one to show you the difference.

I think the plants will have again one week of vegging, then three of the five will be pruned. They will have again two weeks of vegging and if they are mature ( they show sex ) they will go on flowering phase.

Yesterday Night the leaves of the plants were slowly going down so it was time to water them and this time with BioBizz Biogrow 0.5mL/L .

This morning it seems like at every growth that NL strain likes Nutrients.

In an earlier post i was talking about topping the plants, do someone have ideas if NL is a strain that appreciates being topped ?

In previous growth the plants i didn't top were going crazy in flowering by making some baseball bat Wink and the other by making two interesting colas instead of one but the question is : Were the two colas more interesting than only one ???

That's the question ...

NL Day 26

Great Day Today : On 5 plants three are beautiful ladies, good height, lots of lower branches which are coming at the top of the stem, healthy plants. Thumbs%20Up These three ones are tall compared to the others.

The plant that i topped is a lady and the growth at the top has begun, during three days the lower branches have grown and this lady will have lots of tops when entering in flowering phase.

Two have not shown preflowers but according to my experience on that strain and of my cab it may finished with 5 ladies in the cab Wink
I think they will go on flowering phase on tuesday as they will have 28 days from seeds and if i wait too long the lower branches won't have enough light as my hps is a 250 W.

I am planning on having plants with an height of around 80 cms at the end allowing a good light penetration for a good flowering period !

Today night or maybe tomorrow morning they will have some nutrients :

0.5 mL/L of Biogrow, 0.5mL/L of Biobloom and 0.5mL/L of TopMax

Here are the pics of the ladies in and out the cab : They are very green dark out of the cab ( the pic has been made with the flash ) while they seem "pale" in the cab.

Some leaves have been light burnt ( i forgot to change the light position, what a shame Unhappy )

NL Day 31 : Third day in flowering phase

Hi everyone,

The plants are going well. Yesterday night they were very thirsty so i gave them 0.75L per plant with 0.5mL/L of Biogrow, 0.5mL/L of Biobloom and 0.5mL/L of TopMax .

Nevertheless i think i will may be increase the feeding to 1mL/L of BioGrow, 1mL/L of Biobloom and 1mL/L of Topmax as the lower branches are showing some deficiencies in nitrogen.
Now they are watered every two days and not three, their growth has made boom ( each time i change the light from 18/6 to 12/12) .

I want them to be very healthy of course and if they keep green ( with biogrow) they will have enough energy to produce sugars and flowers.

Any comments ???

Peace Yael
